Losing the Hardgainer Training Mentality to Build Muscle Faster
Skinny guys who have trouble building muscle often get told they are hardgainers and eventually come to use it as a sort of crutch. Hardgainer training might be a method of doing things to get the most out of your ectomorph body type but it does not mean you need to constantly stay in the mindset of a hardgainer and blame your genetics instead of yourself if you do not gain as much muscle as you like.
Instead of thinking of yourself as a hardgainer you simply need to readjust what you are doing to gain more and never blame your own body, only blame your actions and training regime that may not account for it because you can gain muscle if you are skinny if you know how. This is a combination of:
- Eating a LOT more food with more protein and testosterone increasing foods
- Working out in the gym with heavier weights, compound exercises and a total body focus
- Treating recovery time with respect and patience to get the most out of the healing and growth periods
While you may have heard some of these things before it is imperative that you follow these rules to the letter not just because it is the only way to make big gains with your body type, but also because it is within your power to do so.
Failure to take advantage of the knowledge on how to build a bigger body is the real reason most hardgainer training routines fail not the inherent skinniness of your body as that can be overcome. You have ton decide for yourself if you really want to get buff. You have to make the choice to build muscle. You have to make the SACRIFICE in time, energy and learning to make it happen. If you do this then it is simply a matter of persistence and you will make the gains that you want.
