How To Choose The Right Figure Competition Suits

You need to seriously think about your attire after having done all the hard work and undergoing rigorous training for a bodybuilding competition. Choosing the appropriate clothing, depending on the nature of the competition, it may be bikinis, double breasted suits, evening gowns or exercise gear which portray your physique in the most flattering way. Choose a competition suit that goes well with tanned skin tone. So instead of lunging for your favorite color, consider a color that best suits your skin tone. While choosing the fabric for your suit, hold the fabric samples against your skin and choose the most flattering one.

You need to choose an appropriate cut for your body type. Go in for a thicker suit if you are not too comfortable in displaying some body parts or if you are on the heavier side. If you do not possess a shapely physique then allow space for insertions which will uplift you. For a one piece suit keep the back open and low to highlight your back. At the top or bottom of the back the straps should cross.

If you have shorter legs, go for a bathing suit that has cut on the hips to display your legs. The band of the suit should be higher and thicker than it would be otherwise. Buttocks must be covered with bottoms. Brazilian cut bottoms are not permitted in most competitions.

See what your budget allows. Many suits are decorated with jewels or sequins. Double check to see if the rules of the competition you plan to enter in, allows these kinds of suits to be worn in the competition before actually purchasing them; especially since such suits are more expensive than the regular types.

If you are a woman, go for high heels. High heels are good at showing off the outline in your calves and will give some additional height especially when worn with swim suits.

Act in accordance with the rules specified by the competition. Request for a dress code if you are not been provided with one. In its absence, you may assume normal rules apply. Solid colors with no designs are most men’s’ posing suits. Solid two piece bikinis with no design or cutouts are most women’s posing suits. The objective of the fitness clothing is to expose your abdominal part, back, legs and arms.

Find yourself the posing suit that best suits you, which even if isn’t the most coveted design. Ankle straps, clumsy heels, extreme platforms and high heeled shoes above five inches should be avoided by women.

In conclusion, follow the abovementioned tips when looking for the right suit to wear to your figure competition. The right suit goes a long way in enhancing your attributes, so choose wisely.
